When discussing the best CPUs for gaming, the 7800X3D is a top contender at a reasonable price point, even more so now that it is currently discounted on top retailers such as Amazon and Newegg. While it retails for a reduced $369, you even get an extra $20 off thanks an additional coupon discount.

We were curious about how the price of the 7800X3D has progressed since it released in April last year, so we checked out a handy Amazon price-tracking site to gather some stats. You’ll see that the lowest-ever price for a new model was $348.94, so the $349 price tag (once the coupon is applied) at the time of publishing is more or less there.
Is it a good time to buy the 7800X3D?
As an AM5 upgrade to the 5800X3D, we think that the 7800X3D is now in a good spot price-wise, especially with more AM5-compatible hardware becoming more affordable as of late. If you’re finally looking to move on from DDR4, then this deal gives you a good chance to do so while saving cash.
It is one of the best CPUs for gaming thanks to the 3D V-Cache design that packs in much more memory than a conventional processor. This helps boost performance for games in particular due to faster access to cached information, especially titles which are more CPU-intensive.
