The original Assassin’s Creed trilogy will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on the 17th of February. Allowing a new audience of players to play the beloved and classic Assassin’s Creed games. The Ezio Collection has been widely available on most other platforms, but this is it’s debut on the Switch. Featuring remasters of Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. As well as Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Embers, as well as two short films featuring Ezio. And to top it all off, this collection will feature all of the original single player DLC for each game.

According to the official game overview: “Play as Ezio, the most celebrated and iconic Assassin in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, on his journey from a young man to the most legendary leader of the Assassin Brotherhood, and in his final quest for discovery and revelation through all single-player campaigns and single-player add-on content from the three collected games.”

There is, however, a little confusion around a possible physical release. Mainly in that there will be a physical release and a cartridge but only for Assassin’s Creed II. The other games, Brotherhood, Revelations, Embers and Lineage will have to be downloaded. Thus needing an internet connection. These downloads will become available after cartridge insertion. But this does also mean you’ll need a MicroSD card to unlock the full collection at once.

If you’re someone who never got the chance or got around to playing these Assassin’s Creed games then now’s the best time to. You can experience this gaming classic on your Switch. However, it’s worth considering that the Ezio Collection is also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in case you want to run it on a slightly more powerful device.

If this is your first or tenth playthrough, let us know if you’ll be getting the Ezio Collection for the Switch!
