CS:GO case prices are falling: Cases in CS:GO are part of the fundamental ecosystem that is weapon skins, and players go absolutely mad for them. Skins and cases have hit all-time-high prices since the announcement of Counter-Strike 2 with players flocking to sell accrued cases for a quick buck, but is now the time to Buy CS:GO cases?

If you’re one of those people who like to make money for nothing, this might apply to you. Please note, however, this is not financial advice, we merely wish to bring your attention to the falling market.

CS:GO case prices are falling

As you know, the announcement of CS2 brought community market prices to an all-time high, this hike affected skins as well as cases. Recently, however, that has started to change.

Let’s take one case, for example, the Gamme case.

CSgo case prices are falling

The Gamma case contains some of the most iconic CS:GO skins and has arguably had the biggest price increase of all the cases. If you take a look at the Gamma case one year ago, the Gamma case sold for around 0.03p ($0.037 USD) per case, and at its height sold for £2.48 ($3.09 USD)

However, things have taken a downward turn recently for all of the CS:GO cases currently a part of the drop pool. All those cases outside of the pool continue to rise or stay flat as there are no new cases hitting the market to devalue them.

Above is the Danger Zone Case that currently has well over 170,000 listings. The prices have fallen by around 30% since April 19th. You can see a similar trend with all the other cases currently in the drop pool. But why has this happened?

Why are CS:GO case prices falling?

We have a theory as to why the CS:GO case prices are falling. We can see that the amount of cases on sale has increased significantly in the last couple of weeks, as we mentioned above, the Danger Zone case now has over 170,000 listings.

This could be case hoarders getting impatient and listing their cases for a tidy profit, that in turn caused the prices to drop slightly. This drop then caused panic in other case hoarders who then listed their cases, dropping the prices further.

The CS:GO cases are getting cheaper because of a big influx in supply, devaluing the cases that are already on the market. Those who have cases listed at higher prices will then be forced to bring the prices down if they want to make a sale.

So watch the market and buy soon if you want to net a profit.

Will the CS:GO case prices increase?

It’s hard to tell whether the CS:GO Case prices will stay down, it all depends on the market behavior. However, cases that are not a part of the current drop pool may be less affected by these dump-in cases, as there’s far less supply of them. So if you’re selling rarer cases, this is good news for you. Not so much if you’re a buyer of rarer cases.

We don’t know how long the market will stay as it is, so it’s best to watch for a couple of days before making an investment. But hey, if you don’t want to pay for cases, you can just play the game. CS:GO gives each player 2 case drops a week, roughly.

Final word

In conclusion, the current state of the CS:GO case market is ripe for buyers looking to capitalize on falling prices. As we’ve seen, the increased supply of cases being listed on the market has caused a drop in prices, which has created an opportunity for those looking to make a profit.

It’s hard to predict how long this trend will last, so it’s best to act fast and monitor the market closely. While this is not financial advice, it’s clear that the time to buy CS:GO cases is now. So whether you’re a case collector or looking to make a quick profit, take advantage of the current market conditions and buy CS:GO cases while the prices are low. Again, this is NOT financial advice.
