Call of Duty has definitely had an eventful week, between the boycott dismay after controversial comments were made between a streamer and the franchise and also welcoming in their Season 4 to both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. Needless to say, CoD’s social media has blown up in more ways than one.

XDeifant is a game in development that is meant to compete with Call of Duty’s MW2. Quite honestly, this could be threatening to the CoD franchise as they are remarkably similar, and after recent controversy, players have boycotted the game.

It now seems that these two games are having some inner drama.

XDenifant shares image on social media that seems to be the start of drama with CoD

Yesterday, the XDenifant official Twitter change posted an image that shows Call of Duty having blocked them. The Ubisoft developed game’s social media decided to screenshot it and share the picture of it publicly.

It hasn’t yet been determined exactly why this turn of events took place or why Call of Duty would block its competitor on Twitter. In the comments, fans and players of the games are discussing why this could have happened, a lot of which point to the fact of how similar the games are.

One fan even mentioned they could “get a cease and desist from Activision…”

While this unexpected block could come from a simple reason of CoD being frustrated at the competition, it could also lead to a much bigger drama that might could out later. The majority of the comments express how Call of Duty might just be working on “another lawsuit” after this information of them blocking XDeifant went out.

A kinda funny comment from another commenter is “they know their days are numbered.”

For now, there is no clear reason why this happened, but we all know what the signs seem to point to. It is uncertain if there will be any update on this situation, but hopefully, there will be so everyone’s questions get answered.
