With the news that the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has dropped below $300 in China as part of bundle alongside an ASUS TUF B650M motherboard, we could soon see it get the same treatment elsewhere in the world, if we’re lucky.

It isn’t the first time the 7800X3D has dropped below this price. In fact, Wccftech reported that Microcenter was one retailer in the US selling this processor, one of the best CPUs for gaming, for a low price of $299 just a few months ago. That means that we could yet again selling for an impressively low price compared to the $449 MSRP, at least as part of a bundle.

Currently though, Chinese retailer JD has slashed the price of the this CPU when bundled with an ASUS TUF B650M Gaming PLUS AM5 motherboard. The price of the bundle together is 3,299RMB, translating to around $463 in the US. Splitting the parts up reveals a price of 1,049RMB and 2,250RMB for the motherboard & CPU, working out as $147 and $316 respectively.

However, for a box-less CPU, the priced is dropped down to 1,999RMB – which is around $280 and safely under the $300 mark. Again, this is part of a bundle deal only. Considering the fact that many people upgrading to this CPU will be switching over to AM5 for the first time though, the value for money on offer here is impressive.

Is the 7800X3D the best value CPU right now?

Even when looking at the current pricing of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D on Amazon, at the time of writing it is more than $60 off the MSRP. If you’re looking for a gaming-focused CPU which will help boost your FPS in CPU-intensive games, then if offers excellent value for money. Thanks to its 3D-stacked V-Cache design, it offers a similar level of gaming performance as some of the flagship non-3D models or Intel’s equivalents at a cheaper price.

Furthermore, current deals like this 7800X3D, Gigabyte B650 motherboard, and DDR5 RAM kit bundle on Microcenter for under $500 proves that you get near unmatched value when creating a build centered around this AMD CPU.
