If you want only the best SSD installed in your gaming system for rapid read/write speeds and an overall smoother experience, Crucial is a popular brand when looking for the best SSD for gaming. They’ve now announced their latest PCIe Gen 5 drive which is their fastest to date.
The Crucial T705 PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD is now up for pre order on their site, with plenty of impressive specs to browse through which shows some solid upgrades over their current range with read/write speeds up to 14,500/12,700MB/s. It is their new flagship SSD, overtaking the Crucial T700, and will no doubt be one of the best for gaming based on the advertised specs.
Crucial T705 SSD now available for pre order
Aside from the impressive specs, which we’ll get into below, the most important thing to know is that the Crucial T705 is now available for pre order. The Crucial store page reveals that 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB variants are soon on the way – the release date is penned in for March 12, 2024. There are also heatsink, non-heatsink, and limited edition models, the latter of which is a white 2TB variant.
Anyone currently in the market for a new gaming SSD that wants the very best should definitely check it out. Do be warned though that it won’t come cheap, as the cheapest 1TB without heatsink model will set you back $239.99 (and of course the price goes up depending on which you opt for).
