The Anubis Skin Collection was released on April 25th in a recent update as a surprise drop. This may very well be the last skin collection released before CS2 launches. Already players have spent a ridiculous sum of money in the two short days the Anubis Skin Collection has been available, and that number grows every second.

The release of CS2 on the horizon has enticed a record-high number of players to CS:GO, as many want to sharpen their skills before the release. This of course has driven up the skin selling, buying, and trading activity to a whole new level. As CS:GO and Skins go hand-in-hand

CS:GO players already spent $11 Million on the Anubis skin collection

The Anubis Skin Collection was released on April 25th in CS:GO, it contains a number of beautifully crafted skins based on everybody’s favorite ancient Egypt-style map, Anubis! It seems like the community loves the skins too considering the eyewatering amount of cash we’ve spent on them as a collective.

Twitter user, Skin trader, and YouTuber @TDM_Jesus have managed to roughly calculate the amount of money we spent on the Anubis Skin Collection using float.db and an equation from Reddit user Fjedik.

CS:GO players already spent $11 Million on the Anubis skin collection

The estimate that TDM_Heyzeus made was that we as a collective have opened around 5.5 Million Anubis cases at the time of tweeting. This is merely a float.db estimate as float.db can only include information from users with public inventories. Those with private inventories (which is probably a lot of you to avoid scam bots) aren’t included in this calculation.

Bear in mind now that this Tweet is a day old, the real number is going t be much higher, possibly in the $20 Million bracket by now. This goes to show just how much CS:GO skins mean to the community, and how important that community is to keeping Valve in the green.

This is how CS:GO players have already spent over $11 million on the Anubis skin collection.
