CS:GO is well known for its amazing plays and impressive clutches, but none of them are quite as lucky as this. We observe the luckiest save from an AWP we’ve ever seen, and we doubt you’ve seen anything like this before. New meta? CS:GO player’s USP-S saves them from instant death in an unexpected way.
CS:GO player blocks AWP shot with USP-S
A Reddit user and CS:GO player by the name of u/illcurbstompyou posted one of the most unbelievable Counter-Strike moments we have ever seen before. As we can see in this video, illcurbstompyou is able to block the shot of an AWP by dropping the USP-S right before the AWPer shoots.
This play was likely unintentional and did leave the player completely defenseless against at least one AWP player, but you have to admit it was fantastic to witness. We highly encourage you to watch the full video on Reddit.
Imagine this becoming the new Meta, we kid of course. If you had the kind of precision to pull this off consistently, you wouldn’t need to be blocking AWP shots in the first place. This video is a true testament to the fact that sometimes it’s just pure luck, and it’s not all to do with skill.
When you notice that the USP-S is actually upright and not horizontal, it makes the situation even more unlikely, and therefore impressive.
Reddit users Can’t believe the impressive coincidence
Other Reddit users are pretty much losing their minds in the comments section, with users suggesting that the player “Cut the bullet in half” or that the user is “Genji from Overwatch”. Needless to say, the whole feat is pretty impressive, to say the least.
We’re not exactly sure how this tale ends, as we’re subjected to the videos ending shortly after the bullet block. We imagine that our hero met an untimely demise at the hands of the AWP player, as illcurbstompyou is left with nothing but a knife after they tossed the USP-S to save themselves from a rather large headache.
One thing’s for sure, I’m throwing my gun at the next AWPer I see. All in an effort to prove the fact that a CS:GO player’s USP-S saves them from instant death in an unexpected way.
