EA appears to block Jedi: Survivor story progression until latest patch is installed: It appears that EA is so bothered by Jedi: Survivors’ latest performance blunders that they have blocked game progression until players have downloaded the latest patch. Maybe this is an attempt to curb the onslaught of negative reviews.
The day-one patch is set to fix a lot of the performance issues that currently plague Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and it appears to be even more integral to the gameplay of Jedi: Survivor, just in a different way than we originally intended.
EA blocks Jedi: Survivor progression until the latest patch is downloaded
It appears EA is at it again with trying to fix a botched PC launch by literally blocking story progression. So those of you that actually manage to play the game and have a decent experience is now forced to download probably tens of Gigabytes to continue on in your quest.

This is pretty outrageous, Jedi: Survivor is already nearly 130GB without this latest patch, now everyone will have to download a probably very large patch to fix some of the performance issues that have been troubling Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Strap in if you have a slower internet folks.
It’s unclear to us right now how big this new patch will be, but we can’t imagine it will be small. At least this is likely the beginning to the end of the performance issues on the PC for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
