Over $120 million has been paid out to Fortnite creators. Since the release of the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, creators have been using this tool to create new islands, games, and experiences while they promote and monetize their Fortnite Island.

As a result, during the Unreal Fest 2023, it was revealed just how much money has been paid out to these Creators since March. The Creator maps are a great way to find new challenges or themes. They are also another way to show off your creativity in creating your island. So, find out what Epic Games had to say about Fortnite creators receiving over $120 million in just a few months.

Creators in Fortnite have received over $120 million

Since Epic Games and Fortnite released the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) on March 22, 2023, many talented players have taken to creating maps. The Unreal Editor allows Creators to make Fortnite Islands and monetize them. As a result, since the release of the UEFN Fortnite, creators have been paid out over $120 million. As shown by a Fortnite leaker on X (formerly Twitter).

In the Unreal Fest 2023, during the Epic Games presentation, they mentioned that creative map creators will receive 40% of the net revenue when they publish an Island. Since the release of the UEFN in March, $120 million has been paid out to these independent creators.

However, more rules and regulations have been established as more talented players use the UEFN to create maps. In the presentation, Epic Games also announced its partnership with the IARC (International Age Rating Coalition). With this partnership, Creators must complete a questionnaire to determine the appropriate age rating for their Islands.

In addition to this partnership, Epic Games has also updated its Creator rules. Epic Games has emphasized the need for originality as more islands are created. They have also updated its current rules, whereas now, you can only advertise your Creator Code outside of your Fortnite Island.
