The last Fortnite live event took place at the end of Chapter 3, which was nearly 10 months ago. Ever since then, Epic Games has been rather quiet with new events. Fortnite players miss them, but it doesn’t seem that Epic will go back to releasing a live event every season.

Instead of a new event every season, it appears that the development team will release new events with every new chapter. Considering that Chapter 5 will likely come out later this year, it’s no surprise that Epic is preparing an event for it. According to leakers, the event is going to be massive.

Next Fortnite live event might bring an open-world mode

According to iFireMonkey, a popular Fortnite leaker, Epic Games is working on a new event for the launch of Season 5. The event is codenamed Arnold and will have three acts. While we still don’t know what exactly these three acts are, this indicates that the event is going to be huge.

Shiina, another prominent leaker, leaked that the Fortnite live event mentioned the open world. Every event so far had a specific location, such as the Device at the Agency, but the next one might bring something entirely different.

The last live event was the Fracture but it was rather disappointing. Epic Games tried something new with the event, but the experiment failed. However, the next live event could easily be the best event in the history of the video game.

It seems that Epic has been working on the upcoming Fortnite live event for a few months. Due to this, we expect it to be big and introduce us to Chapter 5 in a glorious way. The release of the next event is currently unknown, but it may happen in November or December 2023.
