Epic Games has made numerous changes to the Fortnite map over the past few years. The first-ever map looked very simple and plain. However, that is no longer the case. Not only did Epic update the map in early Chapter 1, but the first island was destroyed during The End event.

The Chapter 2 map was flipped to Chapter 3, but it’s presumably destroyed as well, courtesy of The Last Reality. We are now in Chapter 4, but it appears that the island won’t survive it. According to new game data, The Last Reality isn’t giving up on destroying the loopers and their sanctuary.

Here’s everything you need to know about the future of the Fortnite map.

Next Fortnite event will be massive

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Epic Games will release a Fortnite live event at the end of Chapter 4 – Season 3. The good news, however, is that the next event will be massive. It’s scheduled for the end of Chapter 4, which may come in either November or December.

According to Dr. Slone’s voice lines, The Last Reality is still around and will look to destroy the island once again. The Fortnite character has been around for a long time and knows what she’s talking about. Unfortunately, she most likely won’t be able to save the island.

I’ve been told, by someone you and I both trust, that we need to get off this island. As soon as we can…

Dr. Slone

The character also says that she has a plan to escape enemies for good, although it’s risky. It seems that Dr. Slone is referring to the moon map, which will soon be projected on the sky at The Apparatus.

Epic Games all but confirmed the destruction of the Chapter 4 island. The last two weeks of the season will be very interesting, and we might find out more information about Slone’s plan. For now, we’ll sit back and enjoy the build-up to the massive chapter-ending event.
