Epic Games has recently added several new weapons to Fortnite Battle Royale. From the Sharp Tooth Shotgun to the Explosive Repeater Rifle, the loot pool has drastically changed over the past few weeks. Additionally, Epic Games removed the Heavy Sniper Rifle.

The Explosive Repeater Rifle has essentially replaced the Heavy Sniper Rifle. However, many players are not too happy about it and believe that it’s overpowered. Unlike the vaulted sniper, the new Fortnite weapon can deal splash damage and hit multiple targets at once.

The weapon has been in the game for only two weeks, but many players would like Epic to remove it or nerf it.

The Fortnite weapon can be unstoppable when used correctly

The Explosive Repeater Rifle has many perks and can be deadly in the right hands. It’s relatively fast and can hit targets from a long range. Additionally, the weapon deals damage with both direct hits and splash damage, which makes it fantastic.

“I would personally just decrease the hip fire accuracy a little bit because have hit some NASTY shots and elims with the odds stacked against me,” Reddit user SumDoofusonYT suggested, while brightworkdotuk believes that the Fortnite weapon “needs a fire rate nerf.”

TheRealCremefraiche wrote the following: “Needs a nerf somehow. Perhaps consume double ammo or something.” Redditor Saffronation believes that the gun would be great with a 3-round magazine and a slower reload, but other users, like InFocusV2, think that the weapon would be useless with this nerf.

Visible-Dragonfly324 had a perfect idea for a new season. “I wish there was a season where literally every gun was broken,” the Reddit user posted. “I think that would be so fun.”

Considering that Epic Games is currently on summer break, it’s unlikely that a nerf will be released within the next few days. However, a new Fortnite update will likely come out on Tuesday, July 18, and may bring some weapon balance changes.
