Another Fortnite ban wave might be just around the corner. Epic Games is currently on summer break, but many players could lose access to their accounts very soon. These players recently purchased a skin, but not in the way Epic intended it.

Players recently found a way to obtain Rogue Agent, one of the rarest Fortnite skins. The skin was available for a few months in 2018, but there was a trick that allowed it to be purchased on July 11. This method was quickly patched, but Epic may also decide to ban the accounts that used it.

Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Fortnite incident.

Fortnite players who used a trick to get the skin may get banned

The Rogue Agent skin was available primarily through the first-ever starter pack. Epic Games later released the skin to the Item Shop but removed it after community backlash. The skin hasn’t been out for more than four years, yet some players managed to add it to their lockers.

Fortnite players recently figured out a trick to obtain the popular skin by purchasing The Cycle, a video game on the Epic Games Store. The game costs $20, but despite being much more expensive than the original skin, many players did not hesitate to purchase it.

Epic Games quickly patched the method, removing Rogue Agent from all the players who obtained it through the new method. In addition, the Fortnite developer also refunded players for the purchase they made.

However, there is a chance that Epic will also ban these players. At the moment, the company is on summer break but will return from it on Monday, July 17. While the new Fortnite ban wave hasn’t been confirmed yet, there’s a good chance that it will begin next week.
