Fortnite streamer Lacy was recently tricked into shaving his head and eyebrows on a live stream. This was very unfortunate for the streamer, who streamed the popular video game for 48 straight hours.

Unfortunately, Twitch donors are sometimes able to get their donations back. This is a negative side of the streaming platform, but there is nothing streamers can do about it. Lacy’s donor was able to get a chargeback on the donation, leaving the streamer disappointed and upset.

Fortnite streamer got a massive donation but it was refunded

Many banks from all around the world allow credit card users to perform chargebacks. This process is also known as a transaction reversal, meaning that card owners can easily reverse a transaction and get a full refund. In most cases, one phone call to the bank is all it takes to perform the chargeback process.

Twitch is not immune to chargebacks. Many viewers love to tease streamers with massive donations, then perform a chargeback. This is precisely what happened to Lacy, a 20-year-old Fortnite streamer. However, Lacy did not only miss out on $2,500, but he also lost his hair and eyebrows.

The streamer promised to shave his head once he reached the goal of 750,000 bits ($7,500). The 251,092-bit donation, which is worth approximately $2,500, made this happen.

The Fortnite streamer, who has 85,000 followers on the popular streaming platform, shaved his head and eyebrows. Unfortunately, the donor performed a chargeback on the donation, leaving Lacy empty-handed.

“You made me shave my head bald. Shaved my fu****g eyebrows. To refund? I don’t even wanna finish the subathon.”

The good news is that the streamer has become more popular thanks to the incident, gaining a few thousand extra followers in just a couple of days. At the time of the stream, Lacy had around 75,000 followers, but that number has increased by more than 10,000 since.
