Mammoth Pistol is a new Fortnite weapon added with the v25.20 update. Epic Games added a lot of new content with the update, but the new pistol might be the best gameplay change. Despite the pistol being already powerful, it’s possible to make it even stronger.

Besides the new weapon, Epic also added two new Reality Augments. Additionally, the Fortnite x Futurama collab was released, along with new cosmetic items and the return of the Kinetic Boomerang. Thanks to these changes, the game feels fresh once again.

Mammoth Pistol can be unstoppable with this combo

Mammoth Pistol can be found in most loot sources, including chests and ground loot. Despite being so common, it’s one of the most powerful weapons in Fortnite at the moment. The Common (gray) variant of the weapon deals 89 damage, while the Legendary (gold) variant deals 99 damage for a body shot.

Headshots increase damage output by 85%, but this can go all the way to 100% with the Heavy Headshot Reality Augment. Due to this, it’s possible to deal up to 198 damage with the Legendary variant of Mammoth Pistol.

With the release of the v25.20 update, Epic Games added two new Reality Augments: Pistol Recycle and Scoped Salvo. The first perk can be used to make the new pistol even deadlier since it has a 33% chance to not cost any ammo.

While the Heavy Headshot Reality Augment increases the damage output of Mammoth Pistol, the new perk makes it possible for it two fire two or more shots without reloading. The new Fortnite weapon has a fire rate of 1 shot per second. meaning it’s possible to hit the target twice within one second.
