Fortnite’s v25.20 update was just released. Epic Games has added a lot of new content with the update, which comes as no surprise considering it’s the second major update of Chapter 4 – Season 3. After a rather disappointing summer event, Fortnite players are in for a treat.

The latest update has brought many new cosmetics to the video game, a new collaboration, gameplay changes, and more. This article will reveal everything that’s arrived with the update.

Fortnite patch notes

The Fortnite x Futurama collaboration is a highlight of today’s Fortnite update. Not only did the collab bring several amazing cosmetic items, but it also brought a new NPC and a weapon. These will likely stay in the game for at least two weeks.

Every Futurama skin comes in multiple styles. The collab has more cosmetic items, including pickaxes, back blings, and emotes.

In addition to these cosmetics, Epic Games added a lot of other skins, including a new level-up pack. The Galaxy Crossfade skin, which can be obtained for free later this month, was also added to the game with the update.

When it comes to gameplay changes, Epic Games unvaulted the Lever-Action Shotgun and Kinetic Boomerang. The boomerang was vaulted shortly after the season started, but it appears that it’s finally fixed.

Since the Lever-Action Shotgun was brought back, Epic vaulted the Maven Shotgun from numerous loot sources. Due to this, the shotgun can now only be obtained from NPCs.

Additionally, the Mammoth Pistol, which can be seen on the cover of Chapter 4 – Season 3, was finally added to the game. It’s a single-shot pistol with a large caliber that deals massive damage. The pistol uses Heavy Ammo.

Epic Games also released Bender’s Shiny Metal Raygun. The new raygun was released with the Futurama collab and it shoots plasma that deals damage to enemies. However, the weapon can overheat, so it has to be used carefully.

The new weapon is not included in competitive playlists. It can be obtained from the ground or purchased from Bender.

A few weeks ago, Fortnite leakers showed a couple of new Reality Augments Epic was working on. Two of these augments, Pistol Recycle and Scoped Salvo, were added with the v25.20 update. The first perk gives pistols a 33% chance not to use ammo, while the second one makes scoped weapons deal 15% more damage at the expense of a 15% fire rate.
