Epic Games and Blizzard Entertainment might be working together on a Fortnite x World of Warcraft collaboration. Patch notes for the latest WoW PTR patch have been leaked and they show a new character who has many references to the popular battle royale game.

This collaboration would be massive, and there is no doubt that it would benefit both companies. World of Warcraft was in its prime long before Fortnite was released, but it still has millions of fans from all around the world.

Renegade Raider, Fortnite’s rarest skin, seems to be at the center of the potential collaboration. Due to this, we may see it return soon.

Fortnite’s rarest skin seems to be coming to World of Warcraft

Renegade Raider was released with the first season of Fortnite Battle Royale. At the time, the video game had no Battle Pass. Instead, players had to level up and purchase the skin. Considering that Fortnite wasn’t very popular in its first season, many players passed on this, making the skin very rare.

The popular character seems to be at the center of the potential Fortnite x World of Warcraft collaboration. According to the leaked patch notes on Wowhead, Blizzard is adding Renegade Looter to World of Warcraft, which is a reference to Fortnite’s rarest skin.

Not only do the two characters look similar, but the WoW character will have several Fortnite-like abilities, including Cranking 90s and Shockwave Bomb. Due to this, there is a chance that Renegade Raider will also return to Fortnite, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

World of Warcraft has many references to other games and media, so it wouldn’t be surprising if this becomes just another reference. However, many gamers are hoping that this is a sign of a collaboration between the two games.

It’s important to note that Renegade Raider wasn’t a Battle Pass skin, which is why Epic Games could bring it back at some point. The skin was obtained from the Season Shop, which is not the same as the Item Shop, but this shop was removed at the conclusion of Season 1.
