Steam’s highest-rated game is now less than a dollar in the Spring Sale

Yet again browsing the latest offers in the Steam Spring Sale has led us to track down the very best. In terms of price to quality, we don’t think that it gets much better than this. Portal 2 is now less than a dollar, and if you haven’t got it already, now is the time to pick it up.
We recently went through five top deals you may have missed during the big sales event, but here’s one we glossed over – just because we assumed that most people have already played it. We now realize that the Portal is pretty old at this point, and some of you may have yet to experience it.
Both Portal and Portal 2 are less than a dollar
According to Steam 250, and as listed on the SteamDB top rated games, Portal 2 comes out on top as the very best with a rating of 97.71% at the time of writing. The original Portal comes not too far behind in sixth place.
Both of them will now cost you just $0.99, though in the case of the original Portal game, we’d recommend just getting the Orange Box instead, which throws in the Half-Life 2 trilogy as well for the very same price.

Is it worth buying?
For less than a dollar, there’s really no reason not to buy Portal and Portal 2. Despite both being well over a decade old now, they still hold up as excellent single-player experiences that have become must-plays for most Steam users. Get the Orange Box and Portal 2 together for less than $2 and you’ve got a bunch of Valve’s best titles in your Steam library ready for a rainy day.
The Steam Spring Sale will be running until March 21st at 10am PT, so make sure you grab these while they’re still cheap. If you did miss out, then we fully recommend waiting until the next Steam Sale, as the Portal series is almost certainly going to be discounted again based on its price history.
