Prime Day may be just around the corner now, but that isn’t the definitive factor in this RX 7600 price drop. No, it looks more likely to be thanks to the imminent arrival of the latest RTX 4060 GPU from Nvidia – a graphics card that looks to tackle the market’s leading 1080p options.

Originally priced at $269 on amazon, the MSI Gaming Radeon RX 7600 is now a solid $20 cheaper, marked down to $249 for the foreseeable future. Weirdly, Amazon aren’t promoting this as a deal, so it looks likely to be the new price moving forward – another strong indication that the RTX 4060 is behind this price reduction.

Camelcamelcamel confirm the all-time low price of $249, however, their data set is only from May onwards. Regardless, you can’t argue with the value of this GPU right now, especially when you factor in the upcoming price tag of the RTX 4060 – set at around $299 on launch.
The RTX 4060 looks set to launch of June 29th, 2023, and looks set to target the 1080p marketplace. Early leaked benchmarks showcase the RTX 4060 outperforming the RX 7600 in raytracing performance, which could be another factor in the recently reduced price tag.
With all being said, it looks like a savvy move to reduce the price of the RX 7600 – especially as we approach launch day. Thanks to a $50 cheaper price tag – and the ability to redeem a copy of Resident Evil IV remake – the MSI RX 7600 could be the better choice when looking at value.

Why choose the MSI RX 7600?
Right now, the main reason to choose the MSI Gaming Radeon RX 7600 is down to the value it brings to the table. It runs at around $50 cheaper than the RTX 4060 and you get a free copy of Resident Evil 4 for a limited time only.
That said, there are other reasons too – like the Mech 2x Classic’s cooling solution. It offers a dual fan system that helps the card stay cool, even when under the high pressure of gaming situations. It sports 8GB of VRAM and features an overclocked mode right out of the box. The RX 7600 is also an excellent choice for any gamer looking to play competitive games at 1080p. That said, it won’t feature the RTX 4060 features such as RT and DLSS 3.0.
Additionally, AMD’s RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX are also heavily discounted – albeit with no direct relation to the RTX 4060 release.
