Even if you have the best GPU for Hogwarts Legacy, some issues may prevent you from enjoying the game. One issue recently arising is the game crashing during shaders.
This is when the game starts first loading and loads the shaders. This can cause the VRAM in the GPU to fill up and cause it all to crash.
How to fix Hogwarts Legacy crashing during shaders
No fret, although it might be a pesky issue, there are already some suggestions for the fix. With some users on Reddit and Steam working on the solutions. So look no further to find your fix.
On Reddit thread, although the user deleted the post, the comments are still there to get the fix for you. The user Xervath has brought what worked for them and another user.
Firstly, you want to make sure you can see hidden folders. For this open file explorer and in the view tab, check hidden items. This means you can see any hidden folders or files on your device.
With that done, head to the C folder, where Windows is installed. There should be the hidden ProgramData folder and there should be Hogwarts Legacy.
In that folder delete all the files in there, as well as remove them from the trash bin. This will reset the settings for those files, so should hopefully fix the issue.
So you can now boot up the game and it should work this time around. And if that is not working be sure to also check the file integrity of the game in steam and that your drivers are up to date.
