Ahead of the Marvel’s Avengers launch on September 4th, Intel has announced that the third-person action-adventure stands as the first title to benefit from Intel-powered in-game optimization on PC.

On a newly-minted page sharing the news, Intel describes the optimization as a ‘super-charged’ Marvel’s Avengers experience. Intel says it teamed up with developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix as official CPU partner for the game to “deliver a PC gaming experience worthy of Earth’s Mightiest Avengers.”

The optimization features are compatible with Intel Core i5, i7, and i9 CPUs, though builds with high-end Core i9 chips will benefit from “more immersive in-game features like Enhanced Enemy Destruction, Super-Charged Heroics, and Reactive Water Simulation.”

Underpinning the optimization are three core enhancements, which Intel describes as follows:

Super-Charged Heroics

When you execute each Hero’s signature move in Marvel’s Avengers, you’ll know it! Each of the heroes ultimate abilities have super-charged to create fantastic displays of power. The force and shockwave of each special move will create more detailed rubble and debris that stays on screen longer, so you feel and look as powerful as a Super Hero should!

Enhanced Enemy Destruction

With every powerful blow, stomp, blast or smash, you’ll see more persistent armor shards, in more detail, flying in more pieces and more places—making every battle in Marvel’s Avengers one you soon won’t soon forget.

Reactive Water Simulation

Even the water looks better on a high-end Intel-powered processor. With the optimal balance of cores, threads and frequency, any interaction with water becomes a richer, more responsive experience. Water splashes and reacts as it naturally would in the real world.”

To mark the occasion, Intel drafted in the artistic chops of painter and muralist Tristan Eaten to create unique collector’s edition packaging for Intel’s 10th Gen Core line-up based on characters from Marvel’s Avengers. CPUs purchased as part of Intel’s Gamer Days 2020 promotion come bundled with a copy of the game from qualifying retailers. The event ends on September 6th.

Marvel’s Avengers launches on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on September 4th. Pre-orders will, however, grant access to the game from tomorrow.
