GPU deals are abundant this time of year, but when is the optimal time to grab a GPU deal? We delve into the periods when GPUs are most affordable, exploring beyond Black Friday and Cyber Monday to identify the best time to get a GPU. Which of these two events, Black Friday or Cyber Monday, offers the best GPU deals?

In the retail landscape, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday are often treated as part of the same event, with some vendors opting for a week-long sale encompassing both days. It’s possible that in the coming years, Cyber Monday might merge into the extended Black Friday festivities. Let’s initiate the ultimate GPU-acquisition face-off: Black Friday vs Cyber Monday.

Are GPUs better to buy on Black Friday or Cyber Monday?

Pinpointing the exact timing of the best GPU deals can be challenging without firsthand experience. Fortunately, we can turn to Camelcamelcamel, a price tracker providing historical price data for items on Amazon. Leveraging this tool enables us to learn which day proved better for CPU purchases last year.

Above is the price history for the RTX 4070 Ti, as there are very few high-end GPU deals available right now, meaning we only have a very small sample size. And that size only consists of the GPUs that are actually on sale or in stock, which appears to mostly be the lower-end 40 series, which have only been out around 9 or 10 months.

If we follow the CPU price trend we reported on in our “Is Black Friday or Cyber Monday better for CPU deals” we can see that the prices of CPUs tended to dip after black Friday, usually around very early December, or late November. Whether GPUs follow this trend remains to be seen, but if you want the best GPU deals right now, all you have to do is check the block below.
