Players of Nintendo’s console might well be asking: is Minecraft Legends on Switch? We know why many Switch players have their fingers crossed too when a new game is announced because many game developers still stand to skip or delay the Nintendo Switch release.

Fortunately, we’re here to answer the question of whether or not Minecraft Legends will be on the Switch – and it’s great news!

Will Minecraft Legends be on Nintendo Switch?

Fortunately, not is the answer: yes, Minecraft Legends is on Nintendo Switch, but the release date for the Nintendo Switch version is the same for every other, platform, which is April 18th, 2023. This must come as a pleasant surprise to a lot of Switch users, as a bunch of them were expecting the release date for the Nintendo Switch version to be later this year as it has been for a lot of games. Now, players on Nintendo’s latest gen of consoles can look forward to the Minecraft Legends release time as much as anyone else.

You can buy the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft Legends either from the Nintendo eShop for the digital version (where you’ll also be eligible for up to 200 Gold Points) which has a size of 6.6GB at launch or any other video game vendor if that’s what you prefer. For reference, the US price of the regular version is $39.99, while the deluxe edition goes for $49.99.

What Switch Modes does Minecraft Legends support?

Now, if you thought the good news stopped there then there’s more. Not only is Minecraft Legends supported in both TV and tabletop modes, but you’re also able to play the game in handheld mode. What this means is that you can pretty much play the game wherever you want, wherever you want, and however you want.

One thing we can say for sure is that if you’re looking for a portable experience without having to play Minecraft Legends on mobile, the Switch version is the way to go.
