LG UltraGear 32GS95UE release date

With pre orders now live for the 32GS95UE, we can turn to the official LG store to get an understanding of when it will come out. Once you go to order the monitor, you’ll find that pre orders are expected to start shipping on April 15th, 2024 – or at least during that week. This is the best indication we have for the release date right now, unless LG run into some kind of delay.

There has been plenty of growing demand for OLED gaming monitors and 2024 looks to be the best year for it. A large range of brands are releasing OLED displays this year, and while the 32GS95UE arrives a little later than other brands such as Alienware, it does offer some interesting specs & features to set it apart, particularly the Dual Mode refresh rate.

LG UltraGear 32GS95UE price revealed

LG has now revealed the price of the 32GS95UE as it is now listed on their website, and we knew that it wouldn’t be cheap – it is currently listed at $1,399.99. We’ve already seen a 32-inch 4K OLED release from Alienware this year, which will set you back $1,199.99, featuring a QD-OLED panel.

With the news that MSI are offering a more affordable price – $949.99 for their 4K OLED, competition is strong. As you can see, LG has priced their 4K OLED much higher, but the unique Dual Mode feature is a massive selling point against the competition.

With LG revealing their LG UltraGear OLED monitor range at CES 2024, we have plenty of official details to work off to help build excitement regarding this model. The 4K OLED is pretty special indeed, as you can see from the specs above. It shares many of the same specifications as other 2024 models, but LG’s panel will be taking advantage of the same Micro Lens Array tech we see in their premium OLED TV models for a substantial brightness boost, at least according to Digital Trends.

LG advertise it as the world’s first VESA certified Dual Mode gaming monitor. What this means is that it offers two different refresh rates at different resolutions. While it boasts an impressive 240Hz at 4K, you can switch to full HD (1080p) and achieve a super high 480Hz to make it a competitive gaming monitor in its own right. It isn’t yet clear if this involves some kind of cropping, but we’d have to imagine so to uphold good PPI.

What makes the LG 32GS95UE worth it?

The LG UltraGear 32GS95UE looks to feature many of the same specs as other 4K OLEDs coming out this year, so why should you wait for it? We’re yet to discover the price, so it will be interesting to find this out and really get a good idea of value for money. Regardless, the winning feature for us with this monitor is that it boasts a world’s first.

This is the very first VESA certified Dual Mode gaming monitor which allows you to achieve a higher refresh rate when playing at a different resolution. That means you can even stick to an immersive (or productive) 4K resolution at up to 240Hz over HDMI 2.1 (with DSC enabled) or drop down to the more competitive 1080p resolution at 480Hz. The higher refresh rate will be much easier to achieve in competitive games at full HD of course.

Are LG releasing more OLED monitors this year?

Yes, the 32GS95UE isn’t the only gaming monitor that LG are releasing this year. Thankfully there are more on the way for those of you that want a different kind of experience. Namely, they’ll be releasing a number of QHD ultrawide gaming monitors as well to make up the remainder of their 2024 UltraGear OLED gaming monitor line-up, the full list is as follows:

  • LG UltraGear 32GS95UE-B
  • LG UltraGear 34GS95QE-B
  • LG UltraGear 39GS95QE-B
  • LG UltraGear 45GS95QE-B
