Madden NFL 23 Safety Ratings Have Been Revealed

Madden NFL 23 is set to release on August 19, 2022 with Early Release slotted for August 16, 2022.
Around mid-July is where most fans are anticipating one thing aside from gameplay prior to the release: Player Ratings, more specifically throughout here – the safety ratings.
EA Sports managed to release ratings last night for safeties which has seen some players knocked down, and players maintaining within the top 5 including New Orleans Saints’ Tyrann Mathieu.

Here are the top-five safeties in Madden NFL 23:
- Tyrann Mathieu (New Orleans Saints): 94 OVR
- Derwin James Jr (Los Angeles Chargers): 93 OVR
- Budda Baker (Arizona Cardinals): 92 OVR
- Kevin Byard (Tennessee Titans): 92 OVR
- Micah Hyde (Buffalo Bills): 91 OVR
Denver Broncos’ Justin Simmons is also tied fifth at 91 OVR too.

Kevin Byard significantly took the biggest jump into the Top 5. The young Tennessee Titan’s safety managed to climb four overalls to place him 92 OVR and 4th on the list, pretty neat!

One player to look out for however is Derwin James, safety for the Los Angeles Chargers. With getting a season-ending injury in 2021, a bounce back should be expected once returned fully healthy.
