A MW2 bug was discovered earlier today by one Reddit user who seems to have made a useful discovery about adding lasers to guns in Black Gold. The user u/X2006_SubZero writes: “If you equip a laser onto your gun in Black Gold, every ADS kill counts as a mounted kill.”

The Reddit post in question concerns an interesting discovery made by said user in MW2. The player found that equipping a laser sight onto their gun in a specific level of the game, Black Gold, could give them an advantage in multiplayer matches. The post has since gained over a thousand upvotes and sparked discussion among the game’s community.

So what does the bug actually do? Well, in order to level up guns and gain camos and other skins in MW2 and other games like it, you have to perform certain manoeuvres and special types of kills to gain XP or complete challenges. What this bug means is that players could potentially get the XP from completed the ‘mounted kills’ challenges on their weapons without even performing them.

This kind of discovery is not uncommon in video games, where players are constantly experimenting with different combinations of equipment and strategies in order to gain an edge over their opponents. The fact that this particular trick works only in one specific level of the game makes it even more intriguing. This is like the time MW2 players found way to automatically get headshots, without aiming for the head.

The use of laser sights in first-person shooter games like Call of Duty is a well-established tactic. Laser sights can help players aim more quickly and accurately, especially in close-quarters combat situations.

Discoveries like this are a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of gamers. They show that there is always more to discover and learn in even the most well-established games. Players who are willing to experiment and think outside the box can often find hidden advantages and strategies that others may overlook.
