NHL 22 is scheduled for release on October 15th, 2021, with the closed technical test starting recently. The closed technical test is essentially the NHL 22 beta, where those that signed up were given access to try the game out and put it through some tests. EA’s main goal with the beta was to stress test the online servers, while also collecting feedback from those lucky enough to get an invite.
This is a closed technical test, with people already receiving their beta codes after signing up in early August.
What Does The NHL 22 Beta Include?
Obviously, the NHL 22 beta doesn’t include full game features, however, it does come with:
Pro-Am
Ones Eliminator
Threes Eliminator
EASHL Drop-in (3v3 and 6v6)
EASHL Clubs (3v3 and 6v6)
For those involved in the technical test, there are a few rules to follow. Participants in this closed beta must refrain from recording, streaming, or basically capturing any portion of the test. Failure to do so could see you get removed from the test entirely and possibly receive EA bans.
If you have got your NHL 22 beta code and are looking to play you need to select ‘Redeem Codes’ at the bottom of the PlayStation store and enter. On Xbox, select ‘Use a Code’, sign in if prompted, and then enter your beta code.
Can I Still Get An NHL 22 Beta Code?
Many NHL 22 fans have been asking EA about future beta code releases and they have answered this question with a ‘maybe’. EA stated that if you follow their social channels on Twitter, there might be opportunities to receive an extra giveaway code to participate in the test.
NHL 22 Beta File Size
According to PlayStation Game Size, the NHL 22 beta is set to be just under 28 GB
