Fodlan’s future is in your hands once again. Players will get the chance to return to the world of Fire Emblem Three Houses once more. As part of Nintendo Direct, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has been announced! The game will not serve as a sequel to the previous Fire Emblem Warriors. It will instead take place in the world of Three Houses.
Musou Madness
Fire emblem warriors is a Musou game spin-off series of the main Fire Emblem franchise. Rather than the turn-based tactics of regular Fire Emblem, Warriors has more in common with the large-scale hack-and-slash of the Dynasty Warriors series. Which stands to reason, as Fire Emblem warriors is made by Omega Force, the creators of Dynasty Warriors.
The previous Fire Emblem Warriors – also developed by Omega Force – took its cues from fellow Musou spin-off Hyrule Warriors. Rather than focusing on one specific game in the franchise, Fire Emblem Warriors featured a grab-bag of series favourites. Marth, Chrom and Lyn were all present and ready to fight, among other Fire Emblem staples.
Three Hopes looks to have more in common with Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. That game focused in on characters and events from Zelda, Breath of the Wild. And Three Hopes looks to do the same for Three Houses
Fire Emblem Three Hopes: The Golden Path
Musou game spin-offs are becoming increasingly popular for Nintendo. Hyrule Warriors and its sequel have enjoyed significant success. and the first Fire Emblem Warriors has evidently performed well enough to warrant a follow-up.
It’s not only the gameplay that sees changes for these titles. The stories somewhat are frequently more hopeful, at the cost of shearing off some of the more evocatively tragic elements of the original games. Time will tell if Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes will follow suit. Though if it does, few fans would really complain. After spending so much time getting to know these characters at the Garreg Mach Monastery, many would like to see them in a story that gives them a somewhat happy conclusion. At the very least, let everyone get along for once, Nintendo!
