It’s not as big of a deal as other releases that may seem to be a bit more deceiving from Nvidia, but the RTX 4060, 4060 Ti, and RTX 4070 are changing SKUs. It is in fact a more eco-friendly and beneficial thing to do that should keep performance and the rest of the specs the same.

As Videocardz reports, the SKUs are going to only be available in specific regions and you might not even notice if you do end up buying one of the Nvidia GPUs sometimes. According to the original leaker MEGAsizeGPU, the two of these GPU models aren’t expected earlier than April so there are still a few weeks until it is rolled out

It is also expected to be a quiet launch, without much information on it already it will probably just roll out without much fanfare. That’s no surprise considering it isn’t expected to be providing big changes.

Changing Nvidia GPUs

There are reportedly just three graphic card SKUs that are changing from their original. Nothing on the high end and unsurprisingly nothing on the new end like the Super GPUs. Instead, it spans from the bottom 4060 to the 4070. They will be changing as follows supposedly:

This allows those processors to utilize chips that would have been binned. They are all going to use higher tier options but just with some of the cores disabled or nonfunctioning. Allowing Nvidia to keep those dies out of the bin and save some money, not that they need it.

This could also be a way for Nvidia to clear out its warehouses and stock. It already released the Blackwell generation for its AI sector, but we could be seeing the RTX 50 series release by the end of the year and it could be preparing space for that.
