Overwatch is celebrating its sixth anniversary and Blizzard Entertainment is expanding its annual event into a three-week celebration with rewards up for grabs for all players. The update features new remixed Legendary skins like Poison Dart Lucio, Dark Wolf Hanzo, Hydra Symmetra, and more. The event will be live until June 7 with three free legendary skins being offered to all players upon winning or completing a set number of games.
All Brawls and Story Missions Return
As part of the Overwatch Anniversary celebration, Blizzard is unlocking season-exclusive brawls, giving you the chance to dive back into your favorite modes from previous seasonal events. A full schedule is available on the official website if you want to find out when your favorite events will return.
Three Legendary Skins Up For Grabs
Along with fan-favorite Legendary skins, Blizzard is bringing back a select few exclusive skins from past Overwatch Challenge events. If you missed out on any of the older skins that were available in previous events, this is your chance to add them to your collection. Play games in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or the Arcade to unlock sprays, player icons, and stylish skins like Dr. Ziegler Mercy, Mardi Gras Ashe, and Maestro Sigma. Wins count as two games and each week brings new rewards to earn until the end of the event.
All Previous Anniversary Items Available For a Limited Time
Along with new collectibles, Anniversary Loot Boxes that are available right now have a chance to contain items from past Anniversary and seasonal events. In addition to earning Anniversary Loot Boxes by purchasing them in the shop, players can unlock one Anniversary Loot Box just for logging in. Older anniversary items are available for just 1000 credits while the new skins cost 3000 credits. Players can continue earning loot boxes with each level up on their respective accounts.
The new update does not introduce any new content but it brings back all of the older events and story missions that you may have missed out on. Players need to log in weekly and earn the legendary skins from weeks one through three to get all the rewards.
