Pokémon GO. Before the global pandemic happened, this was a game that brought people together. Raids, particularly Legendary Raids, were a way to meet up with your friends, or even make new ones, as you were all needed in the same place at the same time to defeat that troublesome Mewtwo. Then, we were all locked down. Raids were made remote, Pokestops and Gyms got a longer range, Community Days were done from home.

So now what? Of course it’s not over, but things are starting to feel a little more normal, and gatherings are starting to take place once more. But if you’re anything like us, you’ve forgotten how to be a human, how to socialise with other people without a screen between you. Well, The Pokémon Company has decided to give us Sa little nudge in the right direction, help us back into the world and back to socialising with… real people.

Pokémon GO in-person Community Day meetups

Yes, that’s right. The Pokémon Company and Niantic are working together to bring multiple, in-person meetups to Pokémon GO Community Days starting from March 2022. Of course there have been a few successful irl events in the Pokémon GO calendar recently, which may be why there’s a renewed confidence to get more people together in more locations.

The next Community Day is on March 13, 2022, where Trainers will be surrounded by both Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew as part of the Pokémon GO Season of Alola. So, with that just a few days away, where are these Community Day meetups taking place? Let’s find out.

When are Pokémon GO Community Day meetups taking place?

As mentioned, the first meetup is taking place on March 13, 2022, and will be taking place between 11am and 5pm local time, wherever you are. Of course, if you are unable to attend any of the locations above, you can still participate by catching as many Sandshrew as possible – hopefully including some shinies!
