Some recent price cuts for the Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7900 XT on a German retailer could be a promising sign if you’re looking for a new GPU at the moment. Considering the release of new Nvidia Super GPUs, there is plenty of competition around this power tier.

The 7800 XT and 7900 XT have previously been seen selling for just €499 and €699 respectively from German retailer Mindfactory, solid discounts compared to their MSRP and previous price tags. VideoCardz was one outlet reporting this. While these have since expired, we could see similar price cuts in other regions if we cross our fingers – with some already going live.

RX 7800 XT & RX 7900 XT discounts spotted online

As you’ll see below, PowerColor SKUs for both the RX 7800 XT and RX 7900 XT have seen generous discounts lately. The 7900 XT dropped from €765 to €699, the first time it has been available for less than €700, a long way away from its launch MSRP of €1,049 and decent price drop below its now suggested price tag of €769. For the RX 7800 XT, we see it dropped from €569 to €499 to achieve similar record lows – this is against an MSRP of €549.

Are 7800 XT and 7900 XT discounted in the US?

Although Mindfactory is one retailer particularly well known for their good value for money on computer components, we don’t see why others can’t follow suit, or at least try to. If more deals strike and both of these graphics cards see repeated discounts in the coming weeks or months, we can see it triggering deals outside of Europe and this one retailer.

We’ve recently seen some Nvidia GPUs dropping in price, as well as price drops for the RX 7700 XT in the US, again for PowerColor models. In fact, some are already seeing tentative discounts on the likes of Amazon and Newegg for those of you based in the US.
