Hi-Rez Studios has unveiled a first look at the new Rogue Company Glimpse character. The new rogue is a character that is capable of going invisible and fulfils the Recon role. Here is a closer look at what you can expect from Rogue Company’s Glimpse.

Excuse the pun, but this is only a little Glimpse at the character. The audio on the Hi-Rez stream was rather unbalanced, to say the least, making it fairly difficult to understand the full breadth of the developers’ conversation. If there are inaccuracies, then you know why.

Rogue Company Glimpse

Glimpse is a character that was conceived way back in the early days of the Rogue Company. However, she is the first pick to get a reveal for 2022, and likely the next one to release after the recent addition of Umbra. The core of her kit’s playstyle relies on going invisible as her active ability, allowing her to surprise her enemies. When Glimpse enter camo, you can feint blurs of a woman running around the place. Moreso, she gives off dust when she lands after jumping, so there are several visual cues to pay attention to. So, it’s not totally perfect invisibility, as that would be rather broken.

As for her guns, it appears she carries a P12K sidearm and has access to two smoke grenades, with the other throwable being Semex, essentially sharing the same throwables as Lancer. Her primary weapons appear to be the Nightshade rifle or the Knight.

A for her Recon passive role, she doesn’t get proper information on tracking her enemies. Instead, she detects enemies. She gets arrow indicators periodically, giving her a loose idea of what her enemies are up to, rather than accurate pings, as we see with Talon’s throwable.

Other than that, there wasn’t that much else said, minus other concept art segments. If you’re interested in that sort of content, we have sent a link to a decent timestamp of the images. There’s also some mention of lore there, including references to the character Phantom. Just don’t expect to hear what they are saying.
