With only a couple of weeks left in the month of July, the official release date for the 4060 Ti 16GB is closing. The rumors have suggested the date is to be expected for the 18th, which is relatively soon with little more information provided. However, the reviewer Hardware Unboxed explained that there might be issues when it comes to the embargo of the new GPU.
Just a week before the rumored release date, the Aussie YouTubers Tweeted that there seems to be a lack of models available to be seeded for reviews. Under a likely NDA, they could not confirm the date of the release but have mentioned the lack of an FE model being created for the 4060 Ti.

Along with that, there is no official review program for the model with the board partners seemingly unwilling to want to provide anything themselves. Stating that each vendor that was reached wouldn’t provide any review samples, along with not actually knowing when any of them will even be available on the market.

Hardware Unboxed still promises to review the card either way but it’s possible they will have to buy their own card after the GPU releases instead of having it ready. The situation reminds them and us of the RTX 3080 12GB release which wasn’t as grand and also was provided by board partners such as how we got hands-on with it in our review.
All of this is not too surprising though, since the RTX 4060 Ti is hardly worth it at its price and underwhelming specs for the tier. Now the 8GB more of VRAM but lack of bandwidth increase is hardly going to give it much uplift in performance and likely give it a much worse value. Since the 8GB model was not well received it’s likely the reason this launch is being just waved by.
