Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra release date has not yet been confirmed by the big dogs in Seoul, it likely very soon will be at the Galaxy Unpacked Event taking place today (July 26th), and the same is true for the price and specs info. Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation that the device exists, there have been myriad leaks and rumors by leading tech commenters released which we have summarised on the page below.
The Galaxy Tab S Ultra is a relatively recent addition to Samsung’s Galaxy tablet family. The “Ultra” variant was first introduced as the new flagship with the Galaxy Tab S8 series in 2022 as an Android tablet competitor to the Apple iPad Pro with a 14-inch display. Samsung Galaxy Tab Ultra release date history
As mentioned the first Samsung Galaxy Tab Ultra to be released was the S8 Ultra, so there isn’t a long history of release dates to look back on in the series (which you can find by looking on Wikipedia). That being said, the Ultra variant of the Galaxy Tab will probably always be revealed and released at the same time as the standard and Plus versions, so we can use these as a guidance, as below:

Our Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra release date prediction
Samsung has now officially announced that the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event is going to take place in the last week of July, specifically on Wednesday the 26th July.
If we look at the previous release history as listed above, the new Galaxy Tab devices are shown off on a Wednesday during previous events (so this fits the current pattern), then hit the shelves just over two weeks later on a Friday. If we extrapolate this out, then we should get Wednesday the 26th July, 2023 for the grand unveiling of the tablet, with the actual Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra release date likely taking place on Friday the 11th August, 2023, though time will tell.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra specs predicted
No concrete information has been released or confirmed pertaining to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra specs, but we’ve seen some detailed leaks from the reliable Twitter tech commenter @UniverseIce as well as @Tech_Reve and (if true) they look pretty similar to the S9 Ultra’s predecessor; albeit with a more powerful processor, which should outperform the last in both single-core and multi-core scenarios. We’ve summarised these in the specification list below.
In terms of the chipset, Ice Universe has said the SnapDragon 8 Gen2 is likely but Revegnus points to the SnapDragon 8 Gen2+ upgrade, so ultimately it depends which one of these you most believe (our money is on the Ice Man). Similarly there’s dispute over the battery, with IU claiming 11200mAh 45w but Revegnus saying 10880mAh.
According to Dutch leaker GalaxyClub, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 has a few different model numbers, these are allegedly as follows: SM-X910 (Wi-Fi), SM-X916B (5G Global), SM-X918U (5G US).
It’s expected that the screen options will be limited to IPS LCD panels, although an AMOLED/OLED display isn’t completely unlikely. In terms of accessories, the stylus pen it comes with will likely be the same S Pen as current models use.

Due to the absence of any leaks and rumors, we don’t have any tips about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra’s price. It’s usually a safe bet to go off the previous generation though as a likely MSRP (as below).

Samsung kept the pricing the same for the Galaxy S23 series, which launched in February, and we are hoping the company will do the same for the Tab S9 Ultra. This will be the second Ultra in the Galaxy Tab range, so we’ll have to wait and see if the pattern kicks off in the tablet side of things.

We expect to see something incredibly similar for the Galaxy Tab S9.
As we mentioned earlier, Ice Universe on Twitter leaked the supposed the dimensions for the S9, coming in at 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm, closely matching that of the previous generation. It’s also likely that the tablet will feature a Samsung S Pen with Bluetooth 5.1 built-in.
