Looking back to the previous two release dates shows that this year’s edition is a little earlier than expected.

Samsung QN900D specs

Given the reveal of the QN900D at CES 2024, there’s already a bunch to learn about this 8K display, which has now been fully confirmed with its release. As we mentioned before AI is a big accelerator for this and that reflects in the new processor.

The Neural Processing Unit (NPU) has doubled in speed since last year’s model for greater power in the AI department. This helps with processing operations such as AI upscaling (much needed since a lot of content currently available is not natively 8K).

Samsung QN900D price

Being a high-end 8K TV and a flagship model obviously doesn’t come cheap, and we didn’t actually know the pricing until it went up for sale. However, we can have a good look at the pricing just below – based on the prices listed on the Samsung Store.

  • QN900D 85″ price: $7999.99
  • QN900D 75″ price: $6,299.99
  • QN900D 65″ price: $4,999.99

Just as we expected, the pricing is the exact same as last year’s QN900C. It feels like there’s still a long way to go before 8K displays become more commonplace, so the cost remains as a barrier of entry to many.
