Despite the fact that the Samsung S23 was released in February in 2024, it seems that the Samsung S24 rumors are heating up anyway, so, we thought we’d collate all the cool stuff this phone might be capable of here. Let’s take a look.
There’s a lot to cover here, which is unsurprising as the Samsung S line of phones are Samsung’s flagship, competing directly against the likes of iPhone, OnePlus, and Google Pixel.
This means that people are already speculating about the Samsung S24 release date, features, pricing, etc. To be honest they’ve probably already started speculating about the Samsung S47, but we’ll leave that alone, at least until next month.

Samsung S24 release date speculation
Given the previous pattern of Samsung phone releases, a potential Samsung S24 release date could be December 2023, or perhaps January 2024. However, we’ve heard nothing official about this, but it’s seems pretty realistic
Samsung S24 refresh rate rumors
First up is the screen, arguably one of the most important features when it comes to a new phone, and the rumors courtesy of Samslover.com, point towards a 144Hz refresh rate panel.
If this is true, it will position the Samsung S24 equal to gaming-specific phones like the ROG phone and the Nubia RedMagic phone from mysterious gaming monitor company RedMagic.
This is not to day that the Samsung S24 will be a gaming phone. We really don’t think it will be, but high refresh rate displays make the whole phone experience smoother and more enjoyable, regardless of gaming applications. The only downside of high refresh rate panels is that they eat into battery life a lot, so let’s hope for an upgraded battery, too.
Samsung S24 processor speculation
We’ve also heard that the Samsung S24 will only use Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, leaving no opportunity for Exynos processors. This again, is just a rumor, but noted Twitter phone-leakist, Conner (@OreXda), seems confident, and his track record is mostly reliable…
This would mark a big change, as previous Samsung phones have historically used the Samsung-made Exynos chips. Perhaps Samsung has sought to prioritise pure performance over the use of in-house technology.
Samsung S24 Camera spec rumors
According to TomsGuide, we’re going to be seeing a 50Mp main camera, a 12Mp ultrawide, a 10Mp telephoto, and a 12Mp selfie camera. Jesus, pretty soon the back of modern phones will be entirely covered with a cluster of camera lenses.
The telephoto camera, however, is apparently getting an upgrade. According to reliable leaker, @RGcloudS, the telephoto camera could have up to a 150x zoom function, though we can’t be sure whether that will be available for video recording yet.
