It seems like RTX 4060 is not getting a Founder’s Edition, just like the 30-series

Ever wondered why lower end Nvidia SKUs don't get the fabulous FE treatment?

Nvidia loves to push its own model of GPUs, and rightly so, they look magnificent. This might give an insight as to why EVGA ended its partnership with the company. The Founder’s Edition models provide a good choice at MSRP and are becoming somewhat of a collectors item over the years. Despite this, it seems like the lower-end options don’t receive the same treatment, and there actually won’t be an FE RTX 4060.

Nvidia’s announcement of the RTX 4060 family provided us insight into the GPUs availability. Nvidia mentions that the RTX 4060 GPUs will be available to buy with models from all the usual brands. But then only specifies that the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB will have a Founder’s Edition available through retailers, but not the other GPUs. So we are unlikely to see a 4060 FE since the release date of it looms, there is no mention of it anywhere

This statement is also supported by the fact even previews of the cards don’t feature any FE options. As we saw JayzTwoCents allowed a preview of the card by Nvidia, but he still had to use an ASUS Dual model. Along with the fact that the specs sheet on Nvidia’s page does not feature any size information for the RTX 4060 but does for the Ti model, it is unlikely to produce any of those.

This is not too unsurprising as this is the same case we’ve seen previously for the low-end options. Looking at the listed models on TechpowerUp for the 3050 or 3060, or even Nvidia’s spec pages on the two (3060 and 3050), we don’t see listings for the Founder’s Edition models or the sizing of the graphics cards.

This may be due to Nvidia not deeming it necessary to provide one. The top-end cards are much more worth the effort and profit margin than the lower options that the AIB partners can provide. So if you’re after an FE card you have to look at a higher option.
