The Steam Summer Sale in 2024 is finally upon us, and that includes plenty of incredible games at low, low prices.

You may be wondering though, what do I do with all these Steam Summer Sale Trading Cards? Have no fear, we’re here to let you know how to use them properly.
How to use Steam Summer Sale Trading Cards
The Steam Summer Sale Trading Cards can be used to obtain the Summer Sale Badge by collecting 10 of the trading cards. Craft the badge by getting those 10 cards, and you’ll also gain exponential XP for your profile.
The Summer Sale badge can be crafted an infinite number of times, meaning there is plenty of XP for you to earn. You’ll also get the exclusive Summer Sale theme emoticon and a special player background for your hard work.
You can continue to use these trading cards for the entire duration of the Steam Summer Sale 2023, which goes until July 12, 2023.
How to get Steam Summer Sale Trading Cards
There are five ways you can get your hands on Summer Sale Trading Cards:
- Craft a game badge
- Buy games and add-ons
- Go through your Steam Discovery Queue
- Buy them at the Community Market
- Trade for them
Trading is the most obvious one, you can trade other cards for Summer Sale-themed cards, but you can buy them from others too in the Community Market. You can sell your unneeded ones, too.
Earning them can be done by purchasing games during the Steam Summer Sale 2023, exploring your Discovery Queue daily, and crafting badges for the games in your library.
All of these methods will let you reliably earn Summer Sale Trading Cards so you can continue to get more badges and earn player XP towards your Steam account.
