As the beta for Multiversus kicks off, people are speculating on characters that could be added to the game. Now, a new leak adds fuel to the fire.

The datamined leak suggests the following characters are coming to the game, and there’s some really interesting choices here:

  • Joker- DC
  • Raven- DC
  • Gizmo- Gremlins
  • Marvin the Martian- Looney Tunes
  • Lebron James- NBA
  • Rick- Rick and Morty
  • Morty- Rick and Morty
  • Scooby-Doo- Scooby-Doo
  • Daenerys- Game of Thrones
  • The Hound- Game of Thrones
  • Wicked Witch- The Wizard of Oz
  • Godzilla- Godzilla
  • Johnny Bravo- Johnny Bravo
  • Fred Flintstone- Flintsones
  • Samurai Jack- Samurai Jack
  • The Powerpuff Girls- Powerpuff Girls (all one Fighter)
  • The Animaniacs- The Animaniacs (all one Fighter)
  • Duck Dodgers/Daffy- Looney Tunes
  • Scorpion- Mortal Kombat
  • Ben 10- Ben 10
  • Ted Lasso- Ted Lasso

There are some really interesting choices in this, and it’ll be incredibly interesting to see what else WB might add in the future. I mean, let’s face it, who was expecting Scorpion to appear in a fighting game outside of Mortal Kombat? And what the hell is Ted Lasso going to die as his super move? He’s not exactly the most combative person in his series, so the developers of the game will need to get pretty creative when they’re developing him.

What’s next for the game?

Multiversus launched in a closed beta state earlier this month, with an open beta set for release in July of this year. It’s a smash-bros esque fighter centering around various characters that Warner Bros Discovery own, and is releasing across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
