AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D release date
Thanks to the post by VideoCardz, we know the release date of the laptop in which the 7945HX3D exclusively resides.
The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D will be released on August 22nd, according to AMD.

According to ASUS, the Scar 17 X3D will be the “Ultimate gaming laptop” and with a processor such as the 7945HX3D backing it up, we believe the statement completely.
Speaking of the 7945HX3D’s power, we have yet to discuss its specifications.
Ryzen 9 7945HX3D specifications
The specifications of the 7945HX3D are pretty impressive, to say the least. AMD has clearly gone all out to bring both power and efficiency to the laptop gaming platform.

The Ryzen 9 7945HX3D is a powerful 16-core mobile CPU with speeds up to 5.4 GHz. Its base clock is slightly lower at 2.3 GHz compared to the Ryzen 9 7945HX. The CPU operates between 55 to 75W TDP and has 128MB of L3 cache, which is double that of the 7945HX.
AMD suggests that the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D may run cooler, with a maximum temperature (Tjmax) of 89°C instead of 100°C like the 7945HX. The lower 89°C Is on par with the current desktop AMD CPUs available.
The maximum temperature change suggests that this CPU may be more efficient, or it’s a testament to the cooling proficiency of the system within the Scar 17 X3D.

AMD claims the new SKU is about 15% faster than the existing 7945HX. Gamers might get up to 23% better performance with 40W TDP and 11% with 70W TDP. Which is pretty impressive compared to the already powerful 7945HX.
All in all, this is shaping up to be a fantastic CPU, however, we do not yet know the pricing of the Strix Scar 17 X3D. so there’s no way to determine the price increase AMD’s new X3D mobile CPU brings. Considering the laptop comes equipped with up to an RTX 4090, it’s probably not going to be cheap.
But the good news is The very first AMD 3D V-cache laptop CPU coming very soon.
