Content Warning is a brand-new title which arrived on Steam on April 1st. While it is pretty goofy, truly reflecting its release date, users are calling it a great co-op experience – comparing it to popular game Lethal Company. It is now available (to keep) for free, but only for the first 24 hours.

Landfall Games, the game’s publishers, has become somewhat known for this kind of deal. We previously saw them release parody-battle-royale TABG (Totally Accurate Battlegrounds) a few years back with a similar offer that got massively popular, and Content Warning has also gained some traction on streaming platforms such as Twitch as far as we can see.

Content Warning is 100% off on Steam

Even though the latest Steam sale is not currently here, this April Fools’ day offer allows you to get Content Warning for free. One Steam review we found calls it a fun cross between Lethal Company and Phasmophobia, so if that’s your kind of thing, then head on over to the Content Warning Steam store page to claim your free copy.

Despite seeming to be what we can only call a ‘joke’ game, the quality has surprised users, so there’s more to this than what you may think on first glance and we could see it develop further. Plus, it only requires 4GB of storage space and will run on just about any gaming PC.

When does this offer end?

It released on April 1st, 2024, and will be free for the first 24 hours. That means you have until 4PM BST on April 2nd to claim it. For reference, here’s how that looks in a wider range of timezones:

  • 8AM PDT (US Pacific)
  • 11AM EDT (US Eastern)
  • 4PM BST (UK)
  • 2AM, April 3rd AEDT (Sydney)
  • 4AM, April 3rd NZDT (New Zealand)

For absolutely zero cost, there’s no reason not to add Content Warning to your Steam library, even if you don’t plan on playing it right away.
