Upcoming games for Xbox Game Pass include Dragon Ball FighterZ

An abundance of new titles for Xbox Games Pass have been announced today, for PC, console and cloud

Xbox Game Pass is a library of over 100 games, free to play for anyone with a valid subscription. Games are added and removed over time, so be sure to keep an eye out for the current titles, and don’t delay searching for your new favorite game until it’s too late! Here’s a list of titles that have just been announced as coming soon to Xbox Game Pass, and those games which will be leaving at the end of October, 2021.

Available now on Xbox Game Pass

Outriders (PC)

In Sci-fi RPG shooter Outriders, you’ll find yourself on planet Enoch, and you’ll start by choosing your class. Choose between the Trickster, the Pyromancer, the Devastator and the Technomancer. Make sure you’ve familiarized yourself with each one’s unique mechanics before you choose and head out into battle.

You can traverse Enoch in either single player or 1-3 player co-op, as you and your fellow Outriders take on the environment and enemies that want you off their planet.

Outriders is already on Game Pass for console, so if you are already an Outrider, you can port your save data across from console to PC, picking up exactly where you last left off. The game is also cross-compatible, so you can jump into planet Enoch with any of your friends, no matter which platform they play Outriders on.

Into the Pit (Cloud, Console and PC)

Released today, October 19th, 2021, Into the Pit is already playable on Xbox Game Pass across console, PC and mobile devices as a day one title. This fantasy-themed FPS takes you deep into a gloomy cursed village as you search for answers about a demonic portal there. As a magic user, you will need to use your powers to fight off the demonic presence and save the village and its inhabitants.

Bassmaster Fishing 2022 (Cloud, Console and PC) — Day one

Bassmaster Fishing 2022 will be released on October 28, 2021, and will be playable on console, PC and mobile devices on release day through Xbox Game Pass. This one does pretty much what it says on the (sardine) tin, as you fight to become the best angler of them all through a series of challenges and tourneys.

Echo Generation (Cloud, Console and PC) — Day one

You could be forgiven for thinking you’d been dropped straight into an episode of Stranger Things as you load into Echo Generation. Echo Generation is a game following a bunch of small-town kids investigating supernatural occurrences in a nostalgic, early-nineties landscape. Another title released straight to Game Pass on day one, Echo Generation will be playable from October 21, 2021.

Age of Empires IV (PC) — Day one

The latest instalment in the AoE series is also going to be joining the Game Pass library for PC on its day of release — October 28. The mother of all real-time strategy games, Age of Empire IV revitalises the franchise over 15 years since the release of the last new AoE title.

Dragon Ball FighterZ (Cloud and Console)

Possibly the part of the announcement that has garnered the most excitement from Game Pass holders, Dragon Ball FighterZ will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 21st, 2021. In recognisable events straight from the Dragon Ball anime, you’ll take part in epic 3v3 fights, forming teams of the legendary anime’s most well-loved characters to create the ultimate Dragon Ball tag teams.

Alan Wake’s American Nightmare (Console and PC)

The spin-off to 2010’s action-adventure game Alan Wake, American Nightmare brings Night Springs, a TV show featured in Alan Wake, to the forefront of the game. The titular character, able to rewrite reality, winds up near the small town of Night Springs after disappearing for two years, having written his way out of Cauldron Lake. It’s your job, as Alan, to find out what happened and take down your doppelganger nemesis, Mr Scratch, for good. Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 28th.

Backbone (Console)

Backbone is already on Xbox Game Pass PC, and will be added to Game Pass for console players as well come October 28, 2021. Only released in June 2021, Backbone has already received quite a following, thanks to it’s gritty-yet-sexy, post-noir graphics and soundtrack and evocative characters. Play as Howard Lotor, a depressing racoon Private Detective who is struggling to make ends meet as he stumbles across a secret so massive it could change everything.
