Whilst we unfortunately did not get to see a new 27-inch iMac Pro released with M3 Pro or M3 Max chips like we were hoping at the ‘Scary fast’ event, with any luck this could be coming at a later date. Besides this though Mark Gurman et al were pretty spot-on in their predictions, and the new 24″ device looks pretty slick.

Is there an iMac pre order bonus?

Apple does not usually go in for pre order bonuses sadly, and this is true of the new iMac release – their branding is so strong (despite stiffer competition these days) that they don’t tend to offer the same deals that the likes of Samsung and Google do when launching their products. That being said, they do offer Apple Trade In, which permits you to hand in an older/existing Apple device for a price reduction on your new iMac.

How long do iMac 2023 pre orders last?

We now know for sure when the iMac 2023 release date lands – on November 7th, and this marks the end of the pre order period.

As confirmed by Apple, at the 30th October Apple Event, which the company called ‘Scary Fast’ (linking Halloween with the new fast chipsets i.e. the Apple M3 release date), the iMac 2023 pre orders began on the 30th/31st of October, depending on what time zone you live in. It landed on the 30th of October (if you live in the Americas) or the 31st if you live in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia or Oceania.

iMac M3 pre orders will close at the end of the 6th of November – the day before the release date of the new devices, which is also when any pre orders should be shipped out / go out for delivery.
