Will there be more games discounted in the Steam Summer Sale?

The Steam Summer Sale has kicked off and it’s in full swing. With many gamers elated at the level of discount you can find, others are asking if there are going to be any more discounts. Were’s here to discuss today whether there will be more games discounted in the Steam Summer Sale.
Some people are calling the Steam Summer Sale “awful” which seems a bit harsh, but such is the nature of subjective opinion.
Will there be more games discounted in the Steam Summer Sale?
What we mean by this is, it their multiple waves of discounts? Or does every game that has gone on sale now, remain on sale until the end of the Summer Sale and that’s that?
SteamDB tells us that most of the discounts that are active right now end on the 13th of July, which is the date that the Steam Summer Sale is set to end. So it appears as though the sales that are here now, are here to stay.
That’s not to say that there won’t be more items added to the sale as the Summer Sale advances. However, we used SteamDB to scan through some of the games on sale last year, and we couldn’t find any that went on sale during the Summer Sale. They were all on sale from the start.
That’s not to say that there isn’t a few games out there that went on sale during the Summer sale, we just didn’t find them. Games on Steam go on sale constantly, if one happens to go on sale during the summer sale it does not automatically mean it’s part of the Summer Sale.
The answer to the question is, no, we’re not confident that there will be more games that get a discount as part of the Summer sale. There may be games that get a discount during the Summer Sale but aren’t technically a part of it. But a discount is a discount.
