It’s no secret that AMD is developing an X3D variant of the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, in fact, it was stated so in its development roadmap for 2023. If such a CPU were to be revealed, it’ll most likely be revealed at CES 2023. So, with that being said, will we see the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D at CES 2023?

UPDATE: AMD Announces three 3D V-cache equipped 7000 series CPUs at CES 2023. The 7800X3D, 7900X3D, and 7950X3D. Here are all the pieces we have written on each CPU:

CES is one of, if not the biggest tech show that takes place every year. AMD, Nvidia, Samsung, Sony, and more, all take to the stage and present what they have in the works. And we’re all very excited for some of the things AMD might well reveal very soon.

Will AMD reveal the Ryzen 7 7800X3D at CES 2023?

There is actually a great deal that AMD is predicted to reveal at CES 2023. These include none X versions of the Ryzen 7000 series, new laptop CPUs, and of course, the X3D variants of the Ryzen 7000 series.

The Ryzen 7 7800X was conveniently missing from the initial release of the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. As we know, the Ryzen 7 5800X was the CPU to debut the new 3D cache-stacking technology last generation. So, it’s only fitting AMD brings the 3D cache to the current generation with the same SKU.

It’s not a given that AMD will reveal its X3D 7000 series CPU, but we can do the math.

amd roadmap

Above is the official AMD roadmap, extending from 2019 to 2024. As you can see, 2023 makes way for the Zen 4 V-cache and Threadripper variants.

Will AMD reveal other X3D CPUs at CES 2023?

With the success of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, it’s very likely that AMD will consider creating more X3D variants of the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. With that being said, the new generation could have been more popular. The 7000 series were expensive and outperformed on a few fronts Intel.

So only time will tell whether AMD will release more than one, if any, X3D variant at CES 2023.

Final Word

Whatever comes out of AMD’s CES 2023 Keynote, we’re sure it’ll be better than the performance of the 7000 series. AMD has something to make up for this year, and we feel a nippy X3D variant of the 7000 series priced reasonably would begin to turn around the disappointment the new CPUs caused.

AMD is making waves in the GPU department, it;s time for AMD to get back on track and bring some high-performance low-cost CPUs to the market. But will we see the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D at CES 2023? We hope so.
