Xbox Series X Next-Gen Gameplay Showcased On May 7th

It looks like we will be getting an insight into what to expect with the new Xbox Series X next month. Microsoft will be showing off Xbox Series X gameplay this month through an Inside Xbox stream on May 7th.

This was announced through the official Xbox Twitter account. In the tweet, they said: “Check out First Look next-gen gameplay from our global developer’s partners within #InsideXbox on Thursday, May 7 at 8 am PT.”

What Will Be Showcased?

This will feature games for the Xbox Series X and will include next-generation gameplay from Microsoft’s partners and developers.

It’s looking like we’ll have to wait a little longer to see Xbox Game Studios titles showcased on the new console though as Xbox says these games will be shown off at a later date. This could be sooner than later though, with June being the likely month where we’ll see more showcases. This coincides with when E3 was supposed to be held before it was canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis.

General manager of Xbox games marketing, Aaron Greenberg said: “So pumped to see our partners showing us a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay next week. Also, know the Xbox Game Studios teams are hard at work on some big summer plans. More details soon!”

What Games Will We See Showcased at Inside Xbox?

While we don’t have a full list of titles we can expect to see during this showcase event, we do know of one confirmed title.

The news of this Microsoft event was announced roughly around the same time as Ubisoft unveiled the first trailer for the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla game. This new game will drop later this year around the holiday period so it will be available to play on both Xbox Series X and the new PlayStation 5.

Ubisoft has since confirmed that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be one of the titles featured in Microsoft’s event and we can’t wait to see what it looks like on a brand new console.

If we hear any more titles confirmed over the next week, we will keep you updated. In the meantime, make sure you tune in to see the showcase on May 7th!
