Which option should you choose? Should you Feed or Kill The Dying Mind Flayer in Baldur’s Gate 3? Mind Flayers are devious creatures equipped with tentacles in Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 and seek to make slaves of others and become the absolute master of subservient beings.

Gamers will meet various Mind Flayers through their playthrough when trying to rid the Mind Flayer parasite from their head. During this, players may make some bad choices, like with Auntie Ethel, which will leave you with a permanent debuff. Of course, you will have your trusty companions like Wyll, Astarion, Gale, or Lae’zel possibly guiding you, based on their emotions, to the correct answer. But should you Feed or Kill The Dying Mind Flayer in Baldur’s Gate 3? Follow this guide to find out which one we recommend.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – Should you feed or kill the dying mind flayer?

The Injured Mind Flayer is an NPC you will meet in the Ravaged Beach during Act 1. You will have a few dialogue options to feed or kill it during this time. We recommend you kill the Mind Flayer once this becomes an option.

During the meeting of the Mind Flayer, you will first speak to some Stranded Fishers. After this, you must use the Persuasion Check to convince them that Mind Flayer has been controlling them. Only for it to try and manipulate you as well. This is when you will have the option to Feed or Kill the Injured Mind Flayer.

If you Feed the Mind Flayer, it will instantly kill you. After this, your companions will be forced to battle the Weakened Mind Flayer. However, it is possible to revive yourself at the Withers base for 200 Gold, provided you have answered the Withers’ question correctly.

Once you have chosen to do a Wisdom Check and break free from the control of the Mind Flayer, you should kill it. If you leave the Mind Flayer to perish, it will not stop its reign of terror should it survive.
