Guard yourself from the undead hidden beneath the Blighted Village and find your way through a secret wooden hatch to discover an Ornate Mirror hanging on a wall. To get through this secret cellar door, you must answer some questions correctly. Fail, and you and your allies could end up in coffins. This guide will show you how to get past the magic mirror in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3: All Ornate Mirror Answers
When you interact with the Ornate Mirror, be sure to save. This is a precaution in case you answer a question wrong. If this happens, you will be attacked. Also, be sure to read the medical journal in the room prior as it is required to pass one of the questions.
The Ornate Mirror will ask you the following questions:
- Question One: What is your name?
- Answer: Give it your name or make up a name based on your race
- Question Two: Are you an ally of my master?
- Answer: Yes! I am an ally of your master!
- Question Three: What th-ink you of the zulkir known as Szass Tam?
- Answer: A foul lich. May he die a thousand more deaths.
- Answer: Szass Tam is a foul, wretched creature
- Question Four: Why might one use Balsam Ointment?
- Answer [must have read doctor’s journal]: To clean a wound
- Question Five: If you could see an-ything in me, what w-ould it be?
- Answer: I’d look for whatever spell will get rid of this worm in my head
After answering all the questions correctly, you will be granted access to the secret room behind the mirror. Before attempting the mirror’s questions, you have to read the doctor’s journal on the counter or you will fail. Ilyn Toth’s dark journal can be found within the alchemist’s cellar as well which will give more insight into the mirror.
Inside this secret laboratory, you can retrieve the Necromancy of Thay. This evil ancient tome can give you a nice bonus if you manage to complete all of the wisdom checks required to open it.
